Boating
on Lake Glenville
Lake
Glenville is located between Cashiers and Highlands,
North Carolina. The lake is fed by seven streams
and multiple waterfalls. It is super clean
with great fishing. Skiing is allowed. We can
offer two boats for your enjoyment, at an additional
cost (used to pay our increased liability insurance).
The dock is on the property, but down a steep hill.
It is much easier to drive than to walk, but you
can walk if you want, its great exercise. There has
been fantastic fishing off the dock, and its also
a relaxing place to enjoy an afternoon drink or book.
There are two
boats to use, both old and loved. They have some
dirty spots and some worn areas, but that makes
them easier to use, not as many worries! They
run great and do their job, skiing or partying!
The ski boat is a 455 horsepower MasterCraft
that will go 50 mph or turn around in its own
length. There are tons of skis and life jackets
and wetsuits and toys. The pontoon boat seats
10 or so, and is great for visiting waterfalls,
an afternoon drink, or watching the 4th of July
fireworks.
You can rent
newer, nicer boats at the marina (Signal Ridge
Marina, 10 minutes away at 828-743-2143)
on the lake too....
